GLUING AND DISPENSING UNIT FOR SHAFT-MOUNTED WHEELS

Description
The use of the CUDM line consists of dosing two components and dispensing the mixture into the cavities of flap wheels with shaft. The wheels may have different diameters, widths, and abrasive grits. The trays, consisting of a mold containing a pack of flaps and a metal shaft, are loaded by the operator into the loading area and, via a conveyor belt, move toward the Cartesian robot. Once the trays reach the stop position, they are transferred into the Cartesian area by means of a pneumatic handling unit, where they are centered through a series of pneumatic movements. Subsequently, via the Cartesian robot, the products contained in the trays are filled with a mixture of hardener and resin. This mixture is previously prepared in the mixer, which receives the materials through a pneumatic self-priming immersion pump (hardener) and a follower plate pump (resin). Once the desired filling level of the products is reached, the trays are positioned on the conveyor belt by a second pneumatic handling unit, where the products are preheated by an infrared lamp. The products then move into the curing oven, where the core curing process takes place. Finally, once the trays exit the oven, they are placed on the exit conveyor belt by the last pneumatic handling unit, which carries them to the pick-up position where they are collected by the operator.
