S.M.A. Srl (Automated Mechanical Solutions) was founded in the 2000s to meet the needs of an ever-changing market. Today, the company is a recognized reference point in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of equipment and machinery for the automation of production processes, with a strong specialization in the flexible abrasives industry.

Over the years, S.M.A. has significantly expanded its capabilities, extending its production to include special-purpose machines for the Automotive and Aerospace sectors, as well as the design and manufacture of custom systems developed according to specific customer requirements. The DMT and AVIO-SMA brands clearly represent this solid growth and development path.

Our design and manufacturing facility covers 4,000 square meters and is located in a strategic area historically connected to the processing and conversion of abrasive materials. The experience gained as former manufacturers of abrasive wheels in non-woven fabric and cloth has allowed us to build distinctive, highly specialized know-how in the world of flexible abrasives.

S.M.A. provides more than machines: we deliver complete solutions, including technical consulting, dedicated support, and, when necessary, spare parts availability. Our goal is to equip customers with practical tools to operate with a just-in-time approach, improving efficiency and competitiveness.

S.M.A.’s solutions include equipment for the production of wheels, discs, sheets, and rolls made from abrasive paper or cloth, as well as non-woven fabric. We also manufacture dosing units for single-component and two-component resins.

Many of our machines are protected by patents for industrial applicability, and we ensure high production quality by using components from leading European and American brands.
